, Ted Broussard. Broussard married the mother of his three children, Sonya, on The Rock Boat VII. Broussard’s oldest son, Gavin, was the inspiration for his heartfelt song “Gavin’s Song” which was co-written by Dave Barnes. Broussard’s middle child, Gibb, was named after musician Gibb Droll, who often toured with Broussard. Broussard’s youngest is a daughter named Evangeline.

In 2001 Broussard was part of a Christian band called “Y.” The band was based out of New Iberia, LA. The band was short-lived and preceded Broussard’s solo career. Broussard's solo career started with the release of several independent efforts, including 2002's Momentary Setback which spawned the hit "The Wanderer", a song about self discovery.
