Many of these Mistris made it big during early years of Railway Construction by British and notable among them are Vasta Hirji Parmar, Devram Chawda, Arjan Dhana, Ramji Kachra, Pancha Lakshman, Devji Gova, Pancha Kana and others. All the old houses and village temple, infrastructure are built by these Mistri community. However, majority of old houses of Mistris with unique architect were destroyed in the earthquake of 26th January, 2001.
