Laimbu was one of the most influential princes during the early Qing Dynasty
in China
.
Laimbu was the thirteenth son of the Jurchen chieftain Nurhaci
, who united the Jurchen tribes into the Manchu people and founded the Qing Dynasty
. His mother was the Lady Silin Gioro, Nurhaci's
concubine who held the rank of Ordinary Consort (庶妃; Shu Fei) (Ortai was from the same family).
When the Manchus occupied Beijing

, who decided to punish Dodo. However, Laimbu spoke in defense of Dodo. This incensed Hong Taiji, who began to subsequently dislike Laimbu.
Laimbu died in 1646 and was posthumously honored as Duke of Fu (輔國公) with the posthumous name
Jiezhi (介直).
