Geography

Mixed farming along with pastures cover the area around Kareika to the southwest and the northeast. The forests are to the central part, the north and parts in the east and are mixed. More forests and grasslands lie south in the Movri ranges. The transformer line linking Megalopoli as well as Patras and Pyrgos lie about 1 km south which existed since the mid to late 20th century. In the 1950s, Kareika became connected with pavement at the highway, the road was later paved several years later to Riolos.
