Wright has become known for a number of odd blogging activities. He claims to have sold his blog on eBay

 for almost $1,500, and then bought it back later. He claims to have been fired for what he wrote on his blog. In January, 2005 he claimed he was prevented from entering the United States for saying his profession was "blogging". He has written a book, "Blog Marketing."

On July 27, 2009, Wright resigned as CEO of b5media but remains on the board of directors. While evaluating further opportunities, Wright is working on netmobs, a digital media agency.

In June, 2011, Wright teamed up with WordPress innovator Terry Smith and global marketer Jason Hall to launch 23press, Inc., based in Toronto, Ontario.
