Background

In an interview with British daily Metro, Boyle said that she felt honoured when Kay asked her if she could contribute vocals to the cover. She said, "his [Kay's] vision was clear from the start and I wanted to be involved. The video encapsulated the ethos of Comic Relief, having fun while raising money." The song was released as a single worldwide, later.
