He was known for giving up his assembly candidature from Congress to Shri. A.G. Ramachandra Rao who then became the Education minister of Mysore Government.
  • Dr. Raghu Ram- The first ever doctor in the whole of Holenarasipura taluk and a freedom fighter. He had served a week's jail sentence during the famous "Quit India Movement" in the year 1942. He was recognized and later awarded on the day of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations by the Government of Karnataka
