The climate is temperate and the land is fertile. Commercial crops like chanikkayalu, sanaga, jonna, korra, sunflowers, and chinipandu (sweet lemon) are grown in the village.

The village‘s main drinking water resource is an old well.

Sri Anjaneeya Swami Temple, Srirama Temple, and Parti Anjaneya Temple are the main temples.

The high school was started in 1998 and is still growing, with two-storey buildings and computer facilities. It is well connected with pulivendula and simhadripuram. Bus facilities are available. It is a panchayat along with the Agraharam village.
