Halol and the nearby city of Kalol are known as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Many large companies are located here including Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, HNG Float Glass, General Motors,Mekaster Engineering Ltd, Integra Hindustan Control Ltd, SETCO Automotive, CEAT Tyres, GUNNEBO, and Panchmahal Steel,Grandtech engineering works, Windar Renewable Energy, Siemens.

There is PAVAGADH which is known for the Mahakali temple. there is a Jama masjid,vadatalav near the halol-pavagadh region.

The annual Van Mahotsav organized by the forest department will kick off from Pavagadh with the inauguration of 'Virasat Van' created on Halol-Pavagadh Road. It will be inaugurated by chief minister Narendra Modi. Besides creating awareness about green cover, the plantation will highlight the religious, historical, archaeological, geological and ecological significance of Pavagadh.

Forest officials said the 6.5-hectare plantation will have seven different areas called Anand Van, Sanskrutic Van, Arogya Van, Aradhya Van, Ajivika Van, Nisarg Van and Jaivik Van. Each of these shall highlight a specific purpose that plant serve or can be used for.

, Halol had a population of 41,108. Males constituted 53% of the population and females 47%. Halol had an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy was 76%, and female literacy was 66%. In Halol, 14% of the population was under 6 years of age.

There is a large body of water which was created approximately 62 years ago to provide Halol with a dependable water supply. The project was financed/donated to Halol by Water resources department and combined effort of forest department of Halol. Halol is situated as a center point from approximate distance of 40 km from Bodeli,Savli ( Vadodara dist) and godhra (district centere).
