The annual Van Mahotsav organized by the forest department will kick off from Pavagadh with the inauguration of 'Virasat Van
' created on Halol-Pavagadh Road. It will be inaugurated by chief minister Narendra Modi. Besides creating awareness about green cover, the plantation will highlight the religious, historical, archaeological, geological and ecological significance of Pavagadh.
Forest officials said the 6.5-hectare plantation will have seven different areas called Anand Van, Sanskrutic Van, Arogya Van, Aradhya Van, Ajivika Van, Nisarg Van and Jaivik Van. Each of these shall highlight a specific purpose that plant serve or can be used for.
