Recording Hall of Mirrors

Grace wanted to create a mostly acoustic album that "could be played anywhere" without needing "to be plugged in".
She decided to record the album "out of the Parisian routine" so she took her band to Ngekhokh, Senegal, near Dakar, where the music was rehearsed with the band in a period of about two weeks.
The whole team then went to Northern California to record the album in Prairie Sun Studio, Cotati, with the sound engineer Oz Fritz.
