The main objective of Ganaadhikar is to be the mouthpiece of the common people to fight for their rights & justice. It has strong reader base in Guwahati & parts of Lower Assam but is slowly gaining traction in parts of Upper Assam.

The newspaper's chief editor is Dr. Dilip Bora and its executive editor is Ziaur Rahman.

The newspaper started its online edition in April 2011.
