On 14 June 2011, he signed for Norwich City on an undisclosed 3-year deal. He was handed squad number 17 for the upcoming Premier League season. Bennett impressed the Norwich fans with a series of good performances in pre season, the pick of them was against Coventry where he scored the 3rd and final goal in the 3-0 win from 30 yards out.
