The church is dedicated to Saint Helen, and dates from the 13th and 14th centuries, in Early English and Perpendicular styles. It was extensively rebuilt in 1853–54 by Stephen Lewin but retains many of its original features. It is a Grade II* listed building.

East Keal CE School was built as a parochial school in 1848. It reopened in 1874 as the East Keal National School. It became a Junior School
