Growth & Evolution

All Digimon are born from Digitama, also referred to as DigiEggs, and evolve and grow through a process called Digivolution: In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega. Data is necessary for growth. Digimon grow by hunting other Digimon and loading (absorbing) data from them. They prepare themselves to evolve into the next evolution type when they reach a certain level. Some Digimon established friendly relations with humans as their Partner and can evolved through mortal power. In this case, we call the human a Tamer and the Digimon a Partner Digimon.

Another feature is that some Digimon can Digivolve themselves to Buster Mode even after the Mega stage.

is not meant to represent the actual Tamer, and thus players are allowed to choose their own name and modify the appearance of the Avatar--to some extent. After selecting a Tamer, players are then able to select a Partner Digimon. The Partner Digimon will be used in battle to accomplish NPC-given missions. The player may also hatch new Mercenary Digimon from Digitama dropped by enemy Digimon. Over the course of the game, Partner and Mercenary Digimon will Digivolve into stronger forms (some of which may require special items or quests to unlock) and learn new skills.

    Digi-Soul System

It is the energy needed to use a skill such as attacking, which is similar to Magic powers of other games. However, Digi-Soul is more complex than that. Only Tamers are able to produce Digi-Soul. The amount of Digi-Soul is dependent on the Tamer’s capabilities and is administered through a Digivice. But if the Digimon’s power is not enough to take it, the Digi-Soul may be partially destroyed.

    Digivice

Digivice is a compound word of Digital + Device. It is used to digitize the human’s will (Digi-Soul) and deliver it to a Digimon. Through a Digivice a Tamer can make the Digimon more powerful. Only 1 Digivice per Tamer. The Digivice grows together with the Tamer.
    Digimon Expanded Slot

This is a memory slot to recall Mercenary Digimon. You are able to summon the Digimon to the battle field
by bringing [external memory] from your Inventory and installing it into this slot. One slot is given to begin with, but is expandable to a maximum of three at the highest level.
    Digi-Egg Expanded Slot

Activiate the evolution tree with the right Crest, install the same kind of Digimental into the slots, then expanded evolution can be done. This only applies to Digimon with an expanded evolution tree. One slot is given to begin with, but is expandable to a maximum of three at the highest level.
    Chipset Expanded Slot

Similar in concept to the computer upgrading, using it helps improve the abilities of all Digimon possessed. But only Digimon which match the required conditions can get the benefits. Four Slots are given to begin with, but is expandable to a maximum of 16 at the highest level.

    Mercenary System

This system allows you to get Digimon which are not Partner Digimon. The player must hatch the Mercenary Digi-egg using an incubator along with the right type of DATA (chips) items. Mercenary Digi-eggs and data items can be acquired through game play (after defeating enemy Digimon) or purchased in the cash shop. The player can hatch the Mercenary Digimon after injecting DATA three times successfully: each time represents one stage of development. The player may inject additional DATA until the fourth or fifth stage. The higher the stage, the bigger the Digimon. However, the Mercenary Digi-egg may break after one or several attempts past the third stage. The alternate way to hatch a Mercenary Digi-egg is to buy it from the cash shop. The Mercenary Digi-egg bought from the cash shop has a 100% rate of success for at least 3 bars.

    Battle System

Battling is done in real-time. At all times the player's currently selected partner digimon follows them. The player initiates combat by clicking on the selected enemy. The player's digimon then approaches the enemy and immediately performs it's standard attack. The player's digimon has a health bar measuring health and a digisoul meter. The digisoul meter measures how much energy the digimon has to use special attacks. When empty the digimon can only use standard attacks. While in combat Tamers are able to use items that restore health and digisoul but must wait several seconds before being able to again.

There is a tool bar running along the bottom of the player's screen with two columns. The first has a small thumbnail of the Digimon and clickable icons for the digimon's special attacks. As the player levels up they have access to more attacks. The second column has a small thumbnail of the player and clickable icons for telling the digimon to: attack, run away, stop attacking but not run away, and pick up dropped items.

Unlike Digimon RPG combat takes place in real time with nearby players able to watch and even join in on battles.

    Growth Evolution and Quest Evolution

All Digimon have an evolution tree. After they level up, users can complete quests to begin evolution. If users complete quests or reach the evolution limit, the evolution tree will automatically be available. When the evolution tree is available, users can develop their Digimon by using a Tamer’s Digi-soul.

    Armor Digivolution & Crest Evolution

There are 11 types of crests and Digi-mental, but only 10 types are used in the game. Each crest matches each Digi-mental. Crests are used to open the evolution tree. After combining certain elements, an entity of its evolution tree is available. Each Digimental has a different quantity of Digi-soul and a certain amount of Digi-soul is consumed when it Digivolves. As a result, evolution to a higher level requires more Digi-soul.
    List of Crests
Crest of Courage Crest of Reliability
Crest of Friendship Crest of Knowledge
Crest of Miracles Crest of Kindness
Crest of Love Crest of Hope
Crest of Sincerity Crest of Light

    Dark Evolution

Dark Digivolution is evolving to Dark Digivolution Form using a Dark Item. Not only does it have much more battle power than other Digivolution forms in same level, but it also it is able to use all skills in spite of not being the required level. Because this evolution method is so extreme, it has serious effects when degraded and is not possible to evolve for a certain period of time.

    Hybrid Evolution

Hybrid Evolution is when Tamers are changed to Digimon.

There are 2 types of Hybrid Evolution: Spirit Evolution Form by spirit and Matrix Evolution Form by combining with a Partnermon. However, users are unable take other Digimon in this case.
    • Spirit Evolution Form : There are 20 kinds of spirits. All experience is applied only to the spirit.
    • Matrix Evolution Form : Players must conform to the Matrix Evolution Tree. Experience is applied to the Tamer and Digimon together.

※ Matrix Evolution Form[s] come under only certain Digimon Mega such as Royal Knights
    Royal Knights
The are a group of thirteen Mega-level Holy Knight Digimon that are the Digital World's sacred guardians, considered guardian deities of the Network. The group was founded by Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, and serves Yggdrasil. Because the Royal Knights are placed in the highest ranks of Network...
