David was an instigator in the revival of the esoteric school of Voudon Gnosis. After his resignation as Sovereign Grand Master of the Ordo Templis Orientis Antiqua (or O.T.O.A.) and La Couleuvre Noire in November 2009, Beth founded the Société Voudon Gnostique. He is also the Presiding Bishop of the Ecclesia Aeterna and head of the "kosmic" group Fraternitas Borealis.

Although in the past he preferred to write and publish only for his groups and spiritual students, he has more recently granted interviews and released texts for public consumption. Apart from his book Voudon Gnosis, shorter works have appeared in periodicals and anthologies.
