Scott Sheldon, the booker and concert chair of Chatham's Sanctuary Concerts, heard Miraglia perform in 2009 at the NERFA Formal Showcase Selections and commented that she impressed judges, including himself. Sheldon described her as a "blues belter" when announcing her performance in 2010.
