Abele kept a large influence on the Privy Conferencial or Ministerial Council. The fall of Philipp Ludwig Sinzendorf procured him the directorate of the Court Chamber (?Reichskammergericht) in 1679. At the same time, he was awarded the title of baron

In 1684 he earned the title of count
