The family has been involved in some controversial business deals, including an alleged involvement in the Anglo Leasing scandal, the supply of overpriced cars to the Kenya police and the sale of radar equipment to the Kenyan air traffic control. (The Kenyan police website seems to have got their pictures reversed Deepak's picture is shown as Rashmi's and vice versa.)
