Barbara of Brandenburg (30 May 1464 – 4 September 1515) was born in Ansbach
and was the fourth of thirteen children born to Albrecht III, Elector of Brandenburg and his second wife, Anna of Saxony.
on 11 October 1472, Barbara married Henry XI of Głogów; Barbara was eight at the time of the marriage. They were married for four years before Henry died in 1476, childless.

Vladislaus was proposed for the Bohemian throne by the widow of the previous king, George of Podebrady
, and was crowned with Barbara as the King and Queen of Bohemia on 22 August 1471. They were crowned as King and Queen of Hungary on 18 September 1490, in succession to Matthias Corvinus, who had also claimed the Bohemian throne. No regnal number was used by Vladislaus at the time, but works of reference retrospectively assigned him various ordinals for each of his kingdoms. The most usual number is II, though he was also the seventh Ladislas (VII) on the Hungarian throne and the fifth Vladislav (V) on the Bohemian throne.
The marriage was childless; Vladislaus had no legitimate children. Desperate for an heir, Vladislaus divorced Barbara, he married again to Matthias' widow, Beatrice of Naples
. After her death, Vladislaus married Anne de Foix who gave birth to Vladislaus' only legitimate children, Louis II of Hungary and Anna of Bohemia and Hungary
