Baddrol started out playing for the Kedah FA President Cup squad. He was noticed by Kedah's scouts and joined the Canaries' SUKMA

 2006 silver medalists starting eleven. After his performance in SUKMA, Baddrol signed his first professional contract with Kedah on November 2006.
