, with the far free kick from behind to Odai Al-Saify, and Odai, with the pass from the left to Amer to let him score. And on match day 6 with Singapore in Amman, Amer with the cross to his teammate Odai in the penalty area, allowed Odai to score with a header in the first 8 min of the match. After Odai's goal, Jordan were looking for more. Amer took almost every shot in the rest of the match, but failed to get his name on the score sheet, but it didn't matter to Jordan, as they recorded a famous victory over Singapore.

Amer Deeb was interviewed by FIFA and the AFC on January 2011, before the 2011 Asian Cup, of his experiences during the qualifications of each Asian Cup, and his experiences back in 2004. He said, "We were very unlucky to defeat Japan in a penalty shoot-out during the quarter-finals of the 2004 Asian Cup; and that was the last time we had a match against Japan, no friendlies or other tournaments against them after that." Amer also said that his most historic goal in his life was against Iran on match day 4 during the 2011 Asian Cup qualification.

After his great performances in the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, especially in the quarterfinals against Uzbekistan, he was offered to play in Emirates SC.
