History

Constructed facilities, repaired aircraft and equipment, and served as transportation and supply unit in Zone of Advance, 1918-1919. Emergency operations while under state control included surveillance flights in Connecticut during labor troubles in 1934. Antisubmarine patrols, 26 January-c. August 1942; air defense patrols in India in area to rear of combat zone, 28 March-4 June 1944; combat in CBI as fighter unit, 18 June 1944-21 January 1945, 16 April-ii August 1945.
