Štatenberg is a settlement in the Makole

. It lies in the hills above the left bank of the river Dravinja
. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria
. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Podravje statistical region

It gets its name from the Štatenberg Mansion, built in the late 17th century by the Counts of Attems
to the east of the settlement.
