in 1941, plans for the park were abandoned. The original Zama Station had been renamed to Sōbudai-mae Station by this time, so on October 15, 1941 Zama-Yūen Station was renamed Zama Station. It was promoted to a semi-express stop in 1946, and a commuter semi-express stop in 1960. The current station building was completed in 1978.
