 on Adena-Lahor road. It is bounded by Yarhussain Lahor road near Sudher to its east, Yarhussain to its north, Sardcheena to its west and the Vicinities of Yaqubi ( Qasim kale, Ball Banda, Gedar, Shahdad etc. ) to its south.

History

Originally Yaqubi was established by Dalazaks, a tribe which occupied the Peshawar valley up to the end of 15th century and who were later in dislodged by the yousafzais.The ancestors of the present pukhtoon population of this village came from Yarhussain in 1850 round about.Some Gujjars and Awans were already living there as tenants of pukhtoons since occupation of this land from Dalazaks.

An Old Village

The existence of a mound(derae)at the North of the village,where, from excavation statues of Gandhara civilization have been found,points to the fact that this is a very ancient village.

Demographics

The majority of residents are from Pukhtoon Tribes (55%), including Balar Khel, Meta Khel, Nepki Khel, Rorya Khel and Bucha khel. Others include Miagan (20%), Gujran (approx 10%) and Awan (approx 0.06%).
Mohmands are also live here in the part of yaqubi namely Ball banda in good numbers.
