 format, and adopted the WTGV ("Thumb's Great Voice") call sign two years later. The beautiful music format was eventually updated to an easy listening blend called "AC Variety Gold," which combined soft rock, middle of the road hits, oldies, smooth jazz and select standards and classic country titles. In 2000, WTGV switched from easy listening to a more mainstream AC sound and began playing more AC chart currents.

WTGV-FM is almost fully automated and voicetracked, except for simulcasts of news and information programming from its sister station WMIC
