institutes applied to the university seeking affiliation of their various management curricula .The university has in principle, also agreed to affiliate a medical college
which is going to be started soon at Midnapore town. The University Authority is also considering the proposal for introducing postgraduate courses at undergraduate colleges affiliated to the university.
Postgraduate departments also offer courses in unconventional areas, and innovative research is being carried out in fields largely unexplored, and extension and field action are being geared to the fulfillment of the above mission. The university has been conducting postgraduate courses as well as one year bridge courses in distance education
