. It is a spur of VT 100
and extends from VT 15
in the village of Johnson
to VT 100 in the town of Hyde Park

, and crossing into Hyde Park shortly thereafter. Route 100C meets its parent and ends north of the village.
Route 100C mainly serves as a bypass of Routes 15 and 100, for traffic headed eastbound on Route 15 destined for Route 100 and the northern part of the state, or for traffic headed south on Route 100 destined for Route 15 and the western part of the state. Route 15 is a key connector to the city of Burlington
