Many Russian SF fans consider Vasiliy Zvyagintsev one of the best Russian SF authors. His biggest (and actually the only one) work is novel Odysseus leaves Ithaca. The novel was acclaimed also by professional literary critics. The series contain more than 10 volumes each one connected to the others in some way. At the same time it is possible to read each volume separately. However it's better to go chronologically to keep oriented concerning the heroes and their motivation.

For epic 'Odysseus leaves Ithaca' in 1993 Vasiliy Zvyagintsev received four prestige-wrought literary awards: Aelita
