The Traditional Youth Marching Bands Association (TYMBA) is an organization related to marching band

It was formed in 1983 by a few like-minded friends who felt there was a need for an organisation to cater specifically for youth bands, which project a traditional British image and adopt a British Military style of drill.
On 22nd November 2009, TYMBA held its annual National Championships, in Cannock, West Midlands. The Day consisted of the TYMBA Musician of the Year contest, a set piece competition, a drill squad competition, and the main event, the National Finals, for 13 bands, who had competed in various competitions during the course of the year.
The Novice Class was won by Biggleswade Sea Cadet Band, and the runners up were Grafton District Scout Band.
The contest class, only consisting of two bands; Talbot Corps of Drums and Spen Valley Scout and Guide Band, was won by Spen Valley.
In the championship class, the runners up were Thurmaston Marching Brass, and the winners were Moreton Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade.
The national class was the most hotly contested with all four bands finishing within 3 points of each other. The runners up were 3rd Davyhulme Scout and Guide Band. The Supreme National Champions were The Haverettes Girls Band, who are based in Hornchurch

Objectives
- To advance the education and training of young people and their leaders in all aspects of traditional banding.
- To stimulate public awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of traditional banding
- To bring together member bands and undertake the performance of marching band music for the enjoyment of the public
Organizational structure
TYMBA is run by its own members, who together, decide what they want from the association. A national committee is elected annually to manage the affairs of TYMBA. Our regional structure allows bands in each geographical region, South, Midlands and North, to meet regularly and feedback ideas and comments to the national committee through the regional meetings.Bands
