. Until issue 32, Tone was bi-monthly. A change was made to monthly, but as of issue 73 (November/December 2008), it returned to bi-monthly.

Masthead design

Tone's logo features a small coloured triangle. Internally this is called 'Jerry'. Jerry changes colour each issue to match the cover design.

Version 2 of the logo appeared in issue 32 when the magazine changed to monthly.

Version 3 of the logo appeared in issue 44.

Version 4 of the logo appeared in issue 67 and changed the tagline

As of the November/December 2008 issue, the typical magazine contents include:

Website

Daily news articles are available weekdays which are additional to magazine content. Full magazine articles are available from previous issues, often including additional photos and information (including videos) that could not be fitted into the magazine.
Some writers run blogs on the website, and a forum is run as a subsite to encourage user interaction.

Users can purchase books related to technology, as well as back issues and subscriptions in the online shop.

The website is run by Convergent Online Media, a separate company owned by Greg Vincent (owner of Parkside Media) and Darren Cottingham.

Editorial staff

Editor Gary Steel took over for the issue 34 (March 2005). He also has a regular slot on TV ONE's Breakfast Show talking about the latest gadgets and consumer technology.
