It moves at an average speed of 78 kilometre per hour between Delhi and Trivandrum.It uses Vadodara(BRC)WAP4 for its run between H.Nizamuddin and Vadodra and Golden Rock(GOC)WDP3A from Vadodara to Trivandrum Central.it also sometimes gets a GZB(GHAZIABAD) WAP7 from Vadodara to H.Nizamuddin. It is also the first Rajdhani bound to south to get the new model LHB coaches.
