It is published by the Italian publishing house Umberto Allemandi and is actually a network of four "sister" papers. It has offices in London and New York, and correspondents in over 20 countries including Italy, India and Germany.

The General Editorial Director is Anna Somers Cocks and the Managing Director is James Knox. The Editor is Jane Morris.
