Syedna Sheikh Aadam Safiuddin became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1021AH /1612AD. His period of Dawat was from 1021-1030 AH ( 1612-1622 AD).
Syedna Sheikh Adam Safiyuddin rendered invaluable service to the Dai preceding him, and suffered many hardships including physical torture at the hands of the enemies of Dawat.
Syedna Sheikh Adam Safiyuddin went to Mecca to perform Hajj and then proceeded to Yemen under Syedna Jalal. He stayed at Haraz
, Yemen in the khidmat of Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin till his death. Whenever the authorities created any difficulty to Syedna Dawood bin AjabShah

The enemies made false allegations, bribed the governor and invited Syedna Safiyuddin (R.A) and his learned Hudud (associate) to the governor's residence and imprisoned. Syedi Khoj Bin Malak (Q.S) reports that all the prisoners, including himself, used to recite Quran after every prayers. 15 prisoners were released by the tyrant, but Syedna Safiyuddin (R.A), Maulai Ali Mohammed and Syedi Khoj bin Malak remained imprisoned. Many miracles like were reported in the prison.
