Syedna Qutubuddin Shaheed became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1054 AH /1646AD. His period of Dawat was from 1054 -1056 AH ( 1646-1648 AD).

In India too, Bohras were under prosecution by the Mughal Rulers. The 32nd Dai Qutbuddin was persecuted in 1648 A.D.under Aurangzeb, and was beheaded by the Mughal ruler.
