One of the most successful sports programs at St. Mary's Colgan is the football team, which has won 7 state championships and has produced several collegiate athletes. Baseball has been the most successful program during the history of St. Mary's Colgan. Throughout its history, the Panther baseball team has won 16 state championships and has produced a few collegiate athletes, similar to the football program. Although the athletic programs have been the most recognized extracurricular activities, St. Mary's-Colgan also has a cheer squad and dance team that have won many awards as well. Both squads have had team members that have been recognized at the national level.

There are many other ways for students to get involved besides athletics: clubs, organizations, leadership groups, and more.
