Sirjang Lal Tandon

Sirjang Lal Tandon also known as "Jugi" Tandon, was born in India in 1942. He is chairman and CEO of Celetronix, Inc. He is known for leading his company, Tandom Corp. in the disk drive industry, creating a double sided floppy drive.

 drive used by IBM in it's IBM PC, and he was working as OEM manufacturer for Xerox, Tandem, and Prime Computer. In late 1982, Tandon Corporation was at the top of the disk-drive industry, and his company was named Forbes magazine's "Up and Comer of the Year". The $150-million value of his stock placed "Jugi", at age 41, on the Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans. With this wealth, he built a 30-room home on 20 acres in Chatsworth.

In 1986, looking for a place to build a larger assembly firm, he settled the Voyager division in Thousand Oaks, near the firm of Daniel R. Carter, president of Cordata. This allowed Tandon Corporation to build 4,000 PC's per month. After that, he moved to Moorpark,CA.

In 1987, Tandon Corp. made $23.5 million profit, and the next year had $24.2 million in losses. One year later, it recovered with $25.4 million in profit. Tandon Corp.'s shares and stock options passed from $35.00 in 1983 to $4.50 in 1990. In 1991, the company sold about 78% of its gear in Europe. The following year Tandon Corp. worked on selling their new line of slim-line "modular computers", Tandon SL, to Sam's Club, a chain of 220 office-supplies warehouse owned by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. In early 1993, Tandon Computer Corp. changed to TSL Holdings Inc., and in September, Tandon Corp. owed over $70M and filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. In 1996, Sirjang created JTS, Jugi Tandon Storage, back in Chatsworth, CA.
