. It has a temple and church. Most of the population used to depend on farming. But, now the population has been reducing, especially less number of younger generation. As they move to towns for education, business or income reasons. If the trend continues, the population in the village will continue to decline, unless there is a better income from farming.

It has been said that a man named "Singudu" came to this place and settled there. So, it got the name of "Singupalem". Major source of income for people in this village is farming. They celebrate many festivals, of which Sankranti, Deepavali are most celebrated festivals.
