Silkwood is a 1983, Academy Award-nominated film which dramatizes the story of Karen Silkwood, who died in a car accident under suspicious circumstances while investigating alleged wrongdoing at the Kerr-McGee plutonium plant where she worked. It stars Meryl Streep in the title role, as well as Kurt Russell, Cher, Craig T. Nelson, David Strathairn, Bruce McGill, Diana Scarwid, Ron Silver, Sudie Bond and Fred Ward.
