Seven Natural Wonders (CNN)

Seven Natural Wonders is a project created with the mission of protecting and promoting the original seven natural wonders of the world. The project was launched in 2008 in response to the New 7 Wonders efforts to change the natural wonders of the world. This announcement was made following the campaigns efforts to establish a new list of modern man-made wonders.
The original campaign made sense because six of the seven original wonders were no longer in existence. This is not the case for the natural wonders of the world. Each of the original seven natural wonders are in existence today and provide visitors with grandeur, amazement and wonder.
Seven Natural Wonders was established to protect the original vision and declaration of the seven natural wonders of the world. Although there is some dispute about the exact list, CNN published the commonly accepted list. The list includes:
Seven Natural Wonders relies on private donations and has never accepted public funding nor taxpayer money. The purpose of the endeavor is to protect the original wonders. Patrons in support of the original seven natural wonders may join the "Protection Petition" located on the Seven Natural Wonders website.
