Early years

Salman Gambarov was born in Baku in 1959. In 1977, he has been graduated from the 11-year secondary music school named after Bulbul. In 1983, he completed his study at the Musicology

 department of Azerbaijan State Conservatory. Afterward, in 1983-1985, he was in the military service. Gambarov obtained his second diploma in 1990 from Azerbaijan State Conservatory and became a qualified composer. From 1990 to 1994, he worked as a pianist at Azerbaijan State Theater of Music. He is the head of the Estrada music department at Baku Music College. At the same time, he is a teacher in Baku Music Academy since 1998.

Performance

Salman Gambarov organized Bakustik Jazz band in 1996. Gambarov is the only permanent member of the band. The band has participated in many international jazz festivals since 1996. Below some festivals are given:
