actress best known for playing Sian Powers

from January 2009 onwards. Her character will leave the show in January 2012.

Parkinson made the decision to leave the soap, filming her last scenes on the 18 November 2011, but her scenes will be shown until early 2012. She cited a wish to work on other projects and not wanting outstaying her welcome on the show as her reasons for leaving.
