During his stay at Notre Dame, Rocky played all 4 years and started his Junior and Senior years at linebacker. He was a fan favorite for the intensity he brought to the field, as well as his ferocious tackling. During his Senior year Rocky was named one of the Team Captain's under coach Bob Davie.

He earned the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week. His role increased as a linebacker during his 2nd and 3rd seasons with the Titans and earned AFC Defensive Player of The Week.

 picked Boiman up off waivers on September 4, 2006, where he went on to play in every game and earn a Super Bowl ring. Boiman re-signed with the Colts with a one-year contract in April 2007, and he went on to play in every game in 2007, including seven starts.

In May 2010 Rocky founded at political action committee called LEAD pac (www.leadpac.org) with the mission of supporting Ohio candidates who show leadership in fighting for individual's rights with special attention on fiscally conservative issues. In 2011, Rocky began making plans to run for political office in The Ohio State House of Representatives.

Boiman is also a weekly guest on the Bengals Roundup on Channel 12 locally in Cincinnati with Brad Johansen and current radio broadcaster for his alma mater the Cincinnati St.Xavier Bombers
