Life and work

Richard Spendlove worked for the former British Railways for 35 years, and in 1963 was appointed Relief Station Master at Cambridge

It is broadcast on various BBC local radio stations in the South and East of England and worldwide on the web. He was awarded the MBE "For Services to Regional and Local Radio Broadcasting" in June 2000. For television, with David Croft he created and co-wrote the BBC comedy series Oh, Doctor Beeching!
