The film follows the actions of a man who has no name or identity but it simply known as Refugee (Abhishek Bachchan
). He helps Muslim
refugees cross the border illegally but this is soon put under watch by the authorities who find out that illegal activity takes place in the area. He comes across a family that are trying to cross the border. He falls in love with the daughter, Naaz (Kareena Kapoor
), she also falls in love with him. The Pakistani Border Officer Mohammad Ashraf (Sunil Shetty) also loves her. The fact that Naaz loves an India
