Provincetown is a New England town located at the extreme tip of Cape Cod in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,431 at the 2000 census, with an estimated 2007 population of 3,174...

. The school serves 32 students in grades 10-12. There are no students enrolled in grades 8 or 9. Provincetown has one of the smallest high school enrollments in the country as of 2008-2009, and the school district has been planning to phase out the high school program. The High School will be closed at the end of the 2013 school year. The school's mascot is the Fishermen and the school colors are black and orange.

After the 2012-2013 academic year, Provincetown High School will be shut down due to falling enrollments and lack of funds. Provincetown unanimously decided to merge with the Nauset Regional School District, becoming the 6th town to join the Nauset School District, along with Brewster

Sports

PHS fields teams in basketball, soccer, softball, and tennis. Golf and hockey were cut due to their coach, Mr. Johnson, retiring, combined with an extremely tight budget.
