. The port also manages the passenger terminal on the nearby Sava river. Port transfer capacity is 3,000,000 tons per year and 10 000 TEUs. It also has 300,000 m² of warehouses and 650,000 m² of open-air storage areas.

The port has operated since 1961. There is a possibility to move the port to the other side of the Danube, providing more space for the development of Belgrade.
