Pirshagi is famous for its "gold dust" called sandy beaches. There also grows grapes and figs famed for its taste . There are many architectural monuments in Pirshagi- a mosque constructed in XIX century, an old bathhouse, and also a pir called “Pirshagi tataz piri”, formerly a lot of pilgrims came together in this place and that is why the settlement is called Pirshagi (in translation: the Shah of feasts). The local climate and sand is considered to be curative and a lot of representatives of the Azerbaijan intelligency had summer residences in this area for that reason. There are high school, kindergarten, boarding school, cultural center and polyclinic functioning in the settlement.
