In his early career Reynolds worked in sales and selling adverting space, and eventually as an advertising copyrighter. He has also worked as a newspaper columnist, writing for The Independent

Political career

Peter Reynolds has stated he has right-wing libertarian views and is a former member of the Conservative party. As a teenager he started writing letters to newspapers and MPs on the issue of cannabis

Following the huge interest on his blog, he decided to get involved with the Legalise Cannabis Alliance who elected him leader and then changed the name to Cannabis Law Reform. He has made a name for himself writing letters of complaint to the Press Complaints Commission

Family life

Peter Reynolds was first married at the age of 19 to Christine Mary Theresa who was 15 years his senior; they divorced after 5 years and one child, Thomas, whom Reynolds is not in contact with. He married again in 1985 to Sharron Myra Jane with whom he had 2 children, Richard and Even; they divorced in 2000. He currently lives in Weymouth
