Restaurants

Sadly, Patancheru even with a population of more than 50,000 doesn't has a single decent restaurant. The only known option is Anand Hotel (opposite to Police station) and its current state is worse than what it was 20 years ago. People living here drive to nearby Chandanagar to eat out. One reason no one is willing to start a new restaurant in Patancheru is because of the notion that the locals prefer to go to Chandanagar or to interior city to eat out, and that the local restaurants wouldn't survive. This is partly based on previous experiences of International Hotel and Swagath Hotel in late 90s, which closed down after few years in Business.

Market

Patancheru holds local Farmers market every Thursday. Farmers from nearby Villages come here to sell their produce. Businesses are closed on Saturday.

Industries

Patancheru is the major Industrial hub of Andhra Pradesh.Major industries like asian paints are located in this area. It received major boost when Indira Gandhi served as the M.P of Medak constituency, when she started the Industrial park in Patancheru.
